When to Visit:
Dec–Jun can be a popular time to visit Cebu's many beaches and dive sites. The climate is warm and humid year-round, with a rainy season Jun–Nov. Typhoons are most likely Oct-Dec. Sinulog (Jan) features Christian processions, traditional dance and colourful parades in honour of a relic brought to the Philippines by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Christian holidays including Holy Week and Easter (dates vary, Mar/Apr) and Christmas (Dec) are also widely celebrated.

Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It's known for its resorts and beaches. Along the west coast, White Beach is backed by palm trees, bars and restaurants. On the east coast, strong winds make Bulabog Beach a hub for water sports. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho offers panoramic views over the island. Offshore, coral reefs and shipwrecks are home to diverse marine life.
When to Visit:
Boracay has a tropical climate with hot temperatures year-round and frequent rainfall. It’s most popular during the slightly drier months (Dec-Apr). The Ati-Atihan festival (Jan) honours Santo Niño (baby Jesus) and celebrates the region’s Ati people with a parade, tribal dancing and music.

Beach season is Dec–May, usually the driest months of the year. The weather's warm and humid year-round. Palawan Cherry trees are in bloom for the Balayong Festival (Mar 4). Pangalipay sa Baybay (Apr) is a bayside festival including sports competitions, a parade and fireworks. The Karagatan Festival (May 1) celebrates the sea with activities including beach volleyball contests and a concert.
