07 DAYS IN GANGTOK & LACHUNG
Day 01: Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri : Gangtok
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station get transferred to Gangtok. Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 02: Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, start the sightseeing in and around this capital city of Sikkim, covering Chortan Stupa, Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms (Closed on Sunday) and Ranka Monastery & Jakhri water Falls. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 03: Excursion Trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
After breakfast, proceed fora day trip to Tsomgo Lake(12400ft), 32kms from Gangtok City. The lake is considered sacred by the local people. Further 12Kms visit the Baba Mandir dedicated to the memory of soldier Harbhajan Singh. The evening is free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 04: Gangtok to Lachung
After breakfast, proceed to Lachung, en route sightseeing at Singhik View point, Chumthang Valley, Twin Falls, andVima Falls. Evening free to explore the beautiful Himalayan village onyour own. Overnight at Lachung.
Day 05: Day trip to Yumthang Valley
After breakfast, start a half day excursion trip to Yumthang Valley. En route visit Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. Yumthang, which is at an altitude of 12,000 ft., is situated about 135 km from Gangtok. April and May promises colorful flowers & Orchids, whereas late November to March usually receives snowfall. Return to Lachung & visit the Lachung Monastery. The evening is free to explore the place on your own. Overnight in Lachung.
Day 06: Lachung to Gangtok
After breakfast transfer to Gangtok. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 07: Gangtok to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri
After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
