 Giverny Monet’s Gardens.

Giverny is home of artist Claude Monet and is the birthplace of Impressionism. The former home and elaborate gardens of the home of Claude Monet, where he produced his famed water lily series, are now the Foundation of Claude Monet museum. Wander through the exquisite gardens—the water lily garden is the most famous, appearing in so many of Monet’s paintings—and tour the great artist’s former home. The yellow dining room, his first workshop, and the kitchen are especially memorable. Monet’s garden is only open for seven months.

The Arc de Triomphe.

This 160-foot- (50-meter-) tall and 148-foot- (45-meter-) wide arch is a must-see when travelling to France’s capital. Stroll down Champs-Élysées, one of the city’s largest boulevards, to make your way there. Admire the mighty monument. Read about the  wars fought by France. The inscription carries the names of the French generals involved in those wars. Climb up the terrace for beautiful views across Paris, or spend time visiting the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Beware climbing the stairs is challenging. This is a memorial monument, and you are expected to dress appropriately.

Luxembourg Gardens

The Luxembourg gardens are so enchanting. The centre of the park, in front of the Luxembourg Palace, is a “French style” garden, with its geometric lines and shapes with flowers, grass and a pond. Throughout the garden, you will find more than 100 statues, as well as fountains, a pavilion, and even beehives.

Tuileries Garden

The Tuileries Garden is a public garden located between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde. The gardens’ two ponds are perfect places to relax by.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart (Sacré-Coeur) in Montmartre of Paris is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Marvel at the colossal dome and adjacent clock tower and discover one of the biggest mosaics in the world at the incredible Sacred Heart Basilica. Climb the spiral staircase that leads to the top of the dome. From here, experience one of the most breathtaking views across Paris. Pont Alexandre III

The Pont Alexandre III is more than just a river crossing. Dressed up with exquisite art, it is one of the most beautiful travel destinations in Paris. It is a deck arch bridge that spans the Seine in Paris. It connects the Champs-Élysées quarter with those of the Invalides and Eiffel Tower. The bridge is widely regarded as the most ornate, extravagant bridge in the city. Crossing the bridge by foot takes you on a stroll through what might be thought of as Paris’ premiere open-air museum, with an array of masterful sculptures.

Sainte-Chapel

Built in seven years, an impressive feat, the Sainte Chapel was intended to house precious Christian relics, including Christ’s crown of thorns, acquired by Saint Louis. It is a royal chapel in the Gothic style. The upper chapel of the monument is covered in 600 m² of stained-glass windows, of which two-thirds are authentic. It’s one of the most complete and remarkable sets of stained glass of this era.

Musée d’Orsay
